TUTOR

FEBRUARY 2008 - MARCH 2011

The tutorship offered by Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) had provided early career training in the world of academia. I was tasked to lecture in laboratory sessions for several courses namely in Food Science and Nutrition (SBK3023) and Principles in Microbiology (SBB3033). During the tenure, soft skills were also given emphasis in which I was responsible to conduct activities in university's events.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

APRIL 2011 - CURRENT

Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) has provided vast opportunities for me to excel in teaching, research, publications and social services. As a lecturer, I am tasked to conduct lectures in Principles of Microbiology (SBB3033) and Food Science (SBK3033) for undergraduate level and Techniques in Biotechnology Laboratory (SBL1033) and World of Cell (SBU1013) for Diploma students. While my current research is focused on structural biology and protein chemistry of biocatalysis remediation and lipase inhibitors for antiobesity treatment.

POST DOCTORAL FELLOW

DECEMBER 2015 - NOVEMBER 2017

It was a great pleasure to work with Professor Dr. Yasuo Mori in Graduate School of Engineering,  Kyoto University, Japan. During this period, I was exposed to high impact research in electrophysiology of oxygen biology and ion channel especially experiments pertaining microscopy, calcium imaging and patch-clamp. Specifically, I was assigned to study on X-ray crystallography of regulatory proteins in Voltage Gated Calcium ion Channel (VGCC).
